video call

The story of cancer is changing. One in two people will have a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime.

Improvements in treatment mean that people are living longer after their diagnosis. There are now almost 3 million people living with cancer in the UK.

Across Wessex in 2015, there were approximately 105,000 people living with a cancer diagnosis , by 2030 this is estimated to have risen to 167,000.

Wessex Cancer Alliance are running a series of webinars for health and social professionals to increase their awareness, knowledge and confidence to support people affected by cancer.

If you work in health or social care and are interested in reducing people’s risk of developing cancer, helping people act on early signs of cancer or supporting people living with cancer to optimise their health and wellbeing then these webinars are for you.
