Wessex Cancer Alliance Primary Care Conference for Hampshire & Isle of Wight, in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support
On Tuesday 28, November 2023 Wessex Cancer Alliance and Macmillan held a primary care and cancer event in Southampton. The event brought together a range of primary care professionals, both clinical and non-clinical, to share innovation and good practice around earlier cancer diagnosis and personalised care. The day also provided an opportunity to network with colleagues and to showcase some of the national and local resources available to support health care professionals and people affected by cancer.

Conference Objectives:
- To bring together a range of Primary Care professionals to share innovation and good practice around earlier cancer diagnosis and personalised care
- To encourage networking and practical discussion through sessions including teledermatology, genomics, prehab and rehab
- To support the objectives of the WCA Early Diagnosis Local Improvement Scheme (LIS) and other key national and local cancer priorities
- To share developments in cancer care and consider the impact for Primary Care
- To highlight the national and local support and resources available to support healthcare professionals and people affected by cancer
