Launch of Personalised Stratified Follow Up (PSFU) Collaborative – Save the date

Next week Wessex Cancer Alliance will be launching our new Personalised Stratified Follow Up (PSFU) Collaborative on Tuesday 17th August (1-3pm).

Purpose of the Collaborative:

The purpose of this group is to help progress Wessex-wide implementation of PSFU pathways and to provide dedicated time and a place for all people working on current/future PSFU pathways to come together (Clinical teams, IT teams, RMS development support, project managers and Trust PIFU leads).

We hope that this group will be a useful resource for sharing understanding, supporting and good practice related to PSFU.   At our launch meeting we are pleased to welcome Claire Marsh; PSFU Project Manager, to present and share her experiences of progressing PSFU across a range of pathways at University Hospitals Southampton.

As workforce is such a crucial element to implementation of PSFU, Catherine Neck; Clinical Services Programme Lead -Commissioning Support Unit, will also be presenting on the resources she has developed for Wessex Cancer Alliance which present the case for change for Cancer Support Worker roles in PSFU.

Preparation for the Collaborative:

We will ask Cancer Managers/Lead Nurses to provide a brief update on their current position regarding PSFU during the meeting.

We also want to make some decisions about how we progress the next phase of PSFU implementation across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, in particular whether protocols for the next phase of PSFU (pathways with known interest above) are developed collectively as a region (one protocol replicated at each site) or individually (protocols vary between Trusts). This will impact on project times for RMS development and implementation.  It would be useful for key people who will be involved in this work to be able to contribute to these discussions on the day or via a representative in their absence.

To help ensure the right people hear about and attend the Collaborative we would like you to share the details of this invite to people in your Trust; specifically with teams working on current and future PSFU pathways.
