We were delighted to see so many colleagues attend our dedicated supportive workforce conference on Thursday 12, February 2026.
The focus of the day was lifestyle and behaviours. Delegates heard from insightful speakers who joined us for the day to look at the importance of nutrition and physical activity and cancer.
We were able to share our bespoke supportive workforce training offer including courses on personal wellbeing, communication skills, and recognising and responding to cancer related distress amongst others – all available to view here.
Thank you, to the charities and organisations who joined us for our marketplace engagement session, including The Pink Place, Wessex Cancer Support and Jane Scarth House.
Feedback from the day has been overwhelmingly positive with delegates saying:
“Wow what a fabulous day, so very informative.”
everything today was great really informative and engaging”
“A fantastic well organised course. Brilliant talks! Thank you”
We also asked delegates to tell us what they would do differently as a result of attending the conference. Here are a few responses:
- I will be working with my colleague to do more around promotion of physical activity
- Feel even more confident and well equipped to support patients
- Empowered to have conversations around smoking. VBA
- I have already used some of the information in my practice this week which has been great especially regarding the nutrition
