Purpose of the Day:

  • To promote and share the updated Macmillan/NIHR/CPOC/RCOA/WCRF/Southampton BRC ‘Prehabilitation in people with cancer: Clinical and implementation guidance’ and have an opportunity to discuss with an expert panel.
  • Understand the benefits of a multimodal approach across the differing levels of support.
  • Hear about opportunities and examples to deliver innovative, personalised prehabilitation and rehabilitation in cancer across multisector.
  • Build the relationship between perioperative and rehabilitation services and cancer teams to better support optimisation of cancer patients pre and post treatment.
  • Identify resources, information and opportunities to support implementation and development of good prehabilitation and rehabilitation services for people, developing an embedded, sustainable Wessex model.

This event is ideal for those working in the design, development and delivery of prehabilitation and rehabilitation such as Allied Health Professionals, Nurses, Medics and the Support Workforce.
