Description: A learning resource has been developed by a number of organisations across Wessex to help cervical sample takers and practice staff to support people with learning disabilities to participate in the NHS cervical screening programme.
There will be presentations by learning disabilities facilitators from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Health Care who have recently gathered direct feedback from service users on their perception and experience of cervical screening. They will also discuss the work they have done following this.
A short run through of the education resource, designed to support practice, will then take place. There will be an opportunity to ask questions of the teams.
The meeting will be recorded and available as part of the primary care toolkit
Audience: This webinar will be of interest to cervical sample takers and practice staff who want to know more about supporting patients with a learning disability access services at the practice.
