SUMMARY:The Digital Genomics Test Directory: What You Need to Know
DESCRIPTION:Description: The NHS Genomic Medicine Service enables the NHS to harness the power of genomics and science to improve the health of our population. With genomics heavily featured in the NHS 10 Year Plan\, it’s crucial that we ensure the National Genomic Test Directory – through which clinicians can order genetic tests for their patients – offers an accessible and efficient service to a busy healthcare workforce. \nWith this in mind\, teams across the NHS have been working on the digitalisation of the test directory\, and the arrival of the Digital Genomics Test Directory is well on its way. This will enable clinical NHS users to: \n\nAccess list of genomic test packages for their speciality\nRetrieve detailed information around the test packages including version and status\nIdentify test within test packages\nRetrieve detailed information around the tests including versions\n\nTo ensure users are up-to-date with the coming changes and equipped to effectively utilise the new service\, Central and South Genomics are hosting a webinar to provide an overview of the programme\, a demo of the digital service\, and an understanding of the impacts and benefits of the service. \nDate and Time: Wednesday 11th March 2026\, 13:00 – 15:00 \nCost: Free \nFormat: Online webinar \nAudience: This event is for anyone whose role interacts with the National Genomics Test Directory\, whether you’re a scientist\, ordering clinician or a digital leader. \nLink to Register: Get free tickets – The Digital Genomics Test Directory: What you need to know – Microsoft Teams

SUMMARY:Genomics in Men's Health: Harnessing the Genome
DESCRIPTION:Date and Time: Friday 14th November 2025\, 12:00-14:00 \nCost: Free \nFormat: Online\, MS Teams \nDescription: Genomics impacts men’s health in many ways\, enabling personalised medicine for various conditions\, revealing the risk of inherited disorders\, and providing insights into fertility and aging. Genomic testing can enable individuals to make informed decisions about their health\, leading to earlier detection and an understanding of the unique interaction of genes with environment to determine health outcomes. \nTo mark Men’s Health Awareness month\, Central and South Genomics is hosting a webinar on all things genomics and men’s health. From fertility through to oncology\, attendees can expect to hear about a range of important topics shaped by our genes. We’ll hear talks on the following: \n\nX-linked conditions\nLynch Syndrome\nProstate cancer\nMale infertility\nThe patient experience\n\nAudience: Anyone can attend this webinar\, which is free to join\, whether you’re a healthcare professional or an interested member of the public. \nLink to Register: Get free tickets – Genomics in men’s health: harnessing the genome

SUMMARY:Advancing Cancer Care through Genomics
DESCRIPTION:Date and Time: Wednesday 22nd Oct 2025\, 12:00-14:00 \nCost/Format: Free\, online \nDescription: Cancer is affected by our genetics in many different ways. Multiple cancers can be influenced by our genes and the effectiveness of cancer treatment can vary according to our DNA. The healthcare environment has responded to emerging research findings by offering new testing options and innovative therapies based on the results of genetic testing. \nAttendees will hear from a panel of experts outlining the connection between genomics and cancer\, the patient experience\, cancer vaccines\, screening options and much more. \nAudience: This event is for healthcare professionals working in any specialism who are looking to learn more about cancer from a genomics perspective\, to increase their ability to identify when testing may be required\, to guide patients through the process and to learn how to speak to patients about inherited cancers and tailored treatments. \nLink to Register: Advancing Cancer Care through Genomics: A Session for Oncology\, Nursing\, and Allied Health Professionals
