SUMMARY:Primary Care Webinar Series: Ovarian Cancer
DESCRIPTION:Ovarian cancer remains one of the most challenging cancers to diagnose early\, with symptoms often vague\, persistent and easily mistaken for more common conditions. Early recognition in primary care is critical to improving outcomes and reducing delays in diagnosis. \nThis educational session for GPs and primary care clinicians will provide an up-to-date overview of ovarian cancer\, focusing on symptom awareness\, risk factors\, effective safety-netting strategies and referral pathways. The event will also explore the latest updates to NICE guidance\, including the significant 2026 changes to ovarian cancer assessment and referral recommendations\, with new age-adjusted CA125 thresholds and revised approaches for younger patients. \nAttendees will gain practical insights into: \n\nRecognising the key symptoms and presentations of ovarian cancer in primary care\nUnderstanding current evidence on CA125 testing and interpretation\nApplying the updated NICE suspected cancer referral guidance\nMaking timely investigations and referrals to support earlier diagnosis\nImproving patient outcomes through effective clinical assessment and safety-netting\n\nAudience: This session is ideal for GPs\, GP trainees\, advanced nurse practitioners and other primary care professionals with an interest in cancer diagnosis and women’s health. \nDate: Tuesday 24th November 2026 – 13:00-14:00 \nFomat: Online via Teams \nLink: Ovarian Cancer Update for Primary Care Tickets\, Tuesday\, November 24  •  1 PM – 2 PM GMT | Eventbrite
