DESCRIPTION:Session 1: Date and Time: Monday 22nd June 2026\, 10am-12pm \nSession 2: Date and Time: Monday 13th July 2026\, 10am-12pm \nFormat: Online \nCost: Free \nDescription: Gain practical skills to help manage your stress levels and maintain a good work life balance. \nDr Kate Jenkins delivers her Psychological Five-a-Day Training for our cancer workforce. This course focusses on personal resilience and is aimed at the supportive workforce (Cancer Support Workers\, Cancer Care Coordinators\, Cancer Pathway Navigators and MDT Coordinators)\, although other cancer professionals are welcome to register. \nThe training runs for two hours over two sessions and participants must be able to attend both sessions. \nA total of 95% of previous participants have agreed or strongly agreed that the course would have a positive impact on their wellbeing and have made reference to recognising stress and implementing coping mechanisms as a result of attending. \nAudience: This course is aimed at ALL STAFF working in cancer care. \nLink to Register: The Psychological 5 a day Tickets\, Mon\, Jun 22\, 2026 at 10:00 AM | Eventbrite

SUMMARY:Ruth Strauss: No Conversation Too Tough
DESCRIPTION:Description: The Ruth Strauss Foundation offers a FREE training programme which consists of pre-course e-learning and a one-day interactive workshop. The programme is designed for professionals providing care for patients with children\, whose cancer is incurable. \nPreparing children for parental death can be one of the most challenging experiences parents will face. Children who are given information and support when they need it\, say they feel more included and better prepared for the death of their parent.
