DESCRIPTION:Session 1: Date and Time: Tuesday 3rd March 2026\, 8:30-17:30 \nSession 2: Date and Time: Wednesday 4th March 2026\, 8:30-17:00 \nVenue: Novotel Southampton\, 1 West Quay Road\, Southampton\, SO15 1RA \nCost: Free \nDescription: We can offer the opportunity for experienced cancer nurses to undertake the 2-day experiential Advanced Communication Skills Training (ACST) Course. \nThis is considered the “gold standard” of communications skills training for the cancer workforce. The course is led by experienced trained facilitators and involves the use of actors in scenarios. Content includes: \n\nbreaking bad news\nshared decision making\ntransition to palliative care\n\nYou will need to have an enhanced level of communications skills training prior to applying for this course. \nAudience: This course is aimed at senior healthcare professionals (band 6 or above) to enhance their communication skills in more challenging scenarios such as.
